1965 Porsche 356C Sunroof Coupe for sale!

• VIN 131473
• Completed October 27, 1964
• Engine No. 732802
• Transmission No. 83380

Special ordered from the factory with an electric sunroof, originally delivered in Signal Red (6407) over Black leatherette upholstery. Currently finished in its factory exterior color with leather Beige upholstery. Spending most of its life in New Mexico, the paintwork is showing some patina and is not in perfect condition. A completely new leather interior was installed in 2012, and the Beige upholstery is in very nice condition with charcoal German square weave carpets, headrests, and CoCo mats. A factory steering wheel with a deluxe horn ring sits ahead of nicely finished VDO instrumentation, a quartz clock, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The undercarriage presents exceptionally well with a very straight body and nicely detailed suspension.

The vehicle in detail

In accordance with the original vehicle registration and maintenance booklets, this 356 was registered to Hans Joachim Kempt of Ludwigsburg, Germany who owned Hahn Motorfahrzeuge GMBH in Stuttgart, Germany. The selling dealer, Hahn Motorfahrzeuge, sold VIN 131471 to its first owner, Mr. Laborde, on January 19, 1965. Dealer services at Hahn Motorfahrzeuge are recorded in the maintenance booklet until 1966. Service invoices begin in 1980 when the vehicle eventually made its way to the dry state of New Mexico where it traded hands twice. In 2010, this 356 was sold to its previous owner who brought the vehicle to his home in Southern California. Upon taking delivery of the vehicle, he had 356 specialist, Jack Staggs, complete a very thorough inspection of the fuel system, braking system, electrical system, and engine at a total cost of $2,165.27. On June 21, 2012, interior experts Autobahn Interiors, LLC, in San Diego, California installed a complete new Beige leather interior and new headliner.

On April 23, 2018, Makellos Classics performed the following at a total cost of $4,246.58:

-Replace front and rear shocks
