A Porsche 356 from the early years of the iconic brand. So with Split Window and Body bumpers!
This 356 truly has a unique history.
It began on 7 June 1951 when it was delivered to its first owner by Kraus in Nuremberg, Germany. At the end of 1951, the 356 was involved in an accident. Given that the Porsche was still so young, it was repaired with a new factory chassis. And this is well documented. On the Kardex of the delivered chassis with the name of the first owner on it, on the Reutter delivery certificate, on the German Brief and subsequently this story was confirmed again by Porsche with a letter and birth certificate in 1998.
To date, the 356 has documented a total of 76,353 km! The bodywork, which was completely replaced in early 1952, is completely original and has had little or no welding. The 356 underwent a minor restoration 20 years ago, during which it was repainted in its original colour, Fishsilbergrau. Otherwise, it is completely unspoilt, original and complete. !! The original matching engine is still present and starts and runs like a dream. The serial number of the gearbox was rarely mentioned on the Kardex at that time, but it may also be matching. This is evidenced by the fact that it is a very early, unsynchronised gearbox.
