The inaugural example of Porsche’s legendary 910 series, chassis 910-001 represents a pivotal chapter in the marque’s racing dominance during the late 1960s. Built in 1966 as the direct evolution of the successful 906 Carrera 6, this short-tail coupe was the first of just 12 such variants produced, and one of only six 910s ever registered for road use. It debuted in period competition with Porsche works driver Hans Herrmann, achieving a third-place finish at the 1966 Sierre-Montana-Crans hillclimb.
