The vehicle in detail

The car came to Belgium in 1997. The current owner carried out the extensive restoration between 2014 and 2016, sourcing the correct period parts from Porsche specialists across Europe. Today the car is in perfect condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity and Kardex.

Only some 100 kilometres have been covered since the restoration’s completion and this beautiful Porsche 911 is presented in commensurately excellent condition. The car comes with Belgian papers but is currently not registered. It is a matching number car, eligible for multiple prestigious events.

The lovely and extremely rare color combination and factory sunroof make this SWB 911 the perfect example for your car collection.

THE 1965 911

Porsche’s legendary 911 is now one of the most recognizable car designs, having evolved over 60 years. It was a sensation when introduced at the 1963 Frankfurt Auto Show, and production began a year later. It was the first all-Porsche design and boasted features such as a five-speed gearbox developed from the 904 and four-wheel disc brakes.

Slightly longer than the 356 but with a small track, it featured a 1,991 cc SOHC air-cooled, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with two Solex triple-throat carburettors that developed 130 bhp, resulting in a top speed of 209 km/h. The Solex’s were quickly replaced with Webers and the superlatives from road testers revealed just how good the 911 was. Road & Track called it ‘the Porsche to end all Porsches’ and ‘one of the best Gran Turismo cars in the world’. It summed up that the 356’s replacement was ‘superior in every respect…the stuff legends are made of.’ The first six months of production sold out instantly, leaving lengthy waiting lists.
