Porsche 911 Backdate

Porsche 911 Backdate

Coupé, 1972

Highlights

  • RSR Hommage Restomod
  • 993 engine and gearbox
  • Kevlar body

It’s not a statement. It’s a hand gesture.

A fully custom built RSR Hommage with a Kevlar body and ‘under her skirt’ a Porsche 993 engine with 340 bhp.

In 1964, the Porsche “901” was born in Stuttgart. After Armand Peugeot and Ferdinand Porsche argued over the 0 in the middle, Ferdinand decided to take his chances. Something to do with the motto; Choose your battles. The “911” was an instant hit; today Porsche is equivalent to the 911 in name recognition.

The vehicle in detail

Thanks in part to this name recognition, a so-called ‘outlaw’ group actually emerged almost immediately, creating entire versions of their own, often improved, based on the iconic 911 models (the F models). For example, our 911 was once born as one of the few 911 T’s without an oil valve in 1972. She was completely tackled by Speedservice and Lusso Classics, both parties known for extremely high-end work and quality.

End result? Under her complete Kevlar (!) skirt, lies a much more modern Porsche 993 engine and transmission, the latest air-cooled version. The brakes and chassis were borrowed from its meanest sister; the Porsche 930 Turbo. 340 Pferden, a short-five transmission, a total Kevlar body and very wide rubber on the rear axle. We hear you thinking; Is all that necessary? Absolutely not. Is it fun? Bloody hell what good!

Built up with the highest quality materials; of course also everything where possible, original Porsche. And yes; also the Cibie’s are real!

Ready to really be the only one in the pub, with a unique 911? Bis bald.
