In addition to the “scaled grace” of the KAEGE RETRO, we have built our heart into the details: chrome trim strips, bumpers, lights, as well as fuel and oil caps ensure nostalgic perfection – even if you look very closely.

By using carbon components, we have not only supplemented the authentic effect with modern components, but also achieved a weight saving of over 100 kilograms compared to the original 993. Contemporary lightweight construction, which is very noticeable in vehicle handling and consumption.
Reinvented the old wheel.
No compromises in terms of appearance, but as modern, safe and powerful as possible. This also applies to tires and rims. Here, as with many other equipment features, we are open to your wishes. In the Classic we use a three-part wheel in a classic design as standard.
Sound and performance.
The tailor-made exhaust system is one of the selected things, where we decided to redesign and against the original. The sound, the look and the performance characteristics prove us right.

Ergonomic Recaro seats ensure maximum comfort when driving out into the good old days, and should you ever want to hear something other than the melody of the 300 PS machine – the loudspeakers of the high-performance sound system blend discreetly into the interior ensemble.

In the area around the steering wheel, every move becomes a sensual experience with the KAEGE RETRO: High-quality workmanship, visual accents and tactile finesse make every kilometer a pleasure journey: a leather steering wheel that flatters your hand, classic interpreted measuring indicators, high-end radio navigation system in vintage style -Look and a dashboard for a consistent interior design. Of course with an airbag.
Luggage room with ambience.
Good style continues under the hood of the KAEGE RETRO: The trunk is also high-quality, sophisticated and designed according to your wishes. As with the classic, it offers space for light luggage.

Air-cooled to perfection.
A completely revised machine from the 993 works in the KAEGE RETRO CLASSIC – and thus the best air-cooled series technology that has ever been installed in Swabian. Finely disassembled, checked, balanced and reassembled, the unit is extremely cultured, smooth and stable.
Through careful fine-tuning, we were able to increase the output from 3.6 liters to 300 hp and more. Classic 911 feeling. The built-in hydraulic tappets make the RETRO very low-maintenance – but thanks to its OBD capability, it can be handled by any Porsche dealer without any problems.
It is a matter of honor that in this "lighthouse project" from KAEGE we are also installing the KW KW chassis. Comfort, damping behavior and sportiness are second to none with the chassis of this manufacturer – and are also good for the Kaege RETRO.
Quite the 993.
As with the six-cylinder unit, we have made little change to the six-speed transmission of the 993. Although outdated and checked for heart and gear ring: some things are just as good as they are.
With ease for powerful impulses.
Save weight with reliable performance – this premise also applied when choosing the battery. For this reason, we decided to use a Liteblox lithium battery again. A real lightweight made in Germany, proven and tested in racing.
A question of safety: When it comes to headlights, "the good old days" feel much longer than with other components. Reason enough for us to sell our own LED headlights in the KAEGE RETRO.
They blend flawlessly into the optical look, but they are indeed decades ahead of their predecessors in terms of economy, light intensity and durability.
Recaro, logical ..
Ergonomically perfect, ultimately comfortable and safe: It is logical that the RETRO also had the best in the seats that the market has in store. No matter which design you choose – test sitting is worthwhile!
A cool head on a journey through time.
We were particularly pleased with some of the blessings of modern times in the 993: In contrast to the F model, it already had air conditioning as standard. Completely overhauled, it now ensures in the RETRO, in addition to the optional sunroof, that there is not only enthusiasm, but also the optimal temperature for every pleasure ride.
