This is one of the nicest G50 Targa’s in existence. It was sold at Jim Kelly Porsche in Buffalo, NY on March 30, 1988. The original owner leased the vehicle in his company name, and then purchased it individually from Porsche Financial, owning for 27 years. It is well equipped with factory options per the CoA, i.e.: Forged Alloy Wheels, Alarm System, Limited-Slip Differential, Blaupunkt ‘Reno’ Radio, US Standard Emissions. The original factory VIN stickers are intact. The Carrera Targa has been extremely well maintained.
Mechanically, the car is 100% sound; the engine, transmission, and drive train function exactly as they should. There is no smoke at start-up and the oil pressure is excellent. In 1991, a Porsche specialist in West Carrollton, Ohio outfitted the Targa with a cat bypass exhaust and a second exhaust pipe. The car sounds amazing but isn’t loud or obnoxious. This has been the only modification to the vehicle, ever, except for the Alpine stereo. The rear spoiler was installed by the dealer at time of purchase, it is the 911 Turbo version, Porsche OEM. The paint is nearly flawless and it has an unbelievable shine for a 30 year-old car. Every body panel is original as well and the vehicle has never been in an accident. The interior is extremely clean, and all original. The leather has no cracks or markings. The carpeting and floor mats are excellent. The dash is perfect with no cracking or fading at all. All HVAC operations function perfectly. See CoA, engine#, VIN# stickers, undercarriage photos, etc., in the image gallery — walk around video/url(s) below:
