VEHICLE HISTORY
This Speedster was originally delivered in Germany and is now in its third ownership, with the first owner having owned the vehicle from 1989 to 1998. Since 1998, the car has been owned by one family and was passed on to the son within this family – all changes of ownership and registration entries are documented, and the old vehicle registration document from the 1990s is also still available. The original owner's manual including the service booklet (with various entries in the PZ) and the original supplement to the operating instructions for Speedsters are of course also available.
Since 2022, the vehicle has been part of a smaller Porsche collection within our customer base and has only been carefully driven for around 1,000 km during this time. In the course of the purchase in 2022, we also inspected the vehicle beforehand as part of a purchase consultation and found it to be in good condition. In this context, we also checked the Speedster for matching numbers with positive results.
Since then, we have also been servicing this vehicle. In 2025, this Speedster finally underwent an extensive technical overhaul, so that it now presents itself completely without any maintenance backlog.

MODEL HISTORY SPEEDSTER & PRODUCTION NUMBERS
The 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster was a special model based on the Carrera 3.2 from the last G model year. With its low windshield, lightweight soft top, and characteristic double air intakes, it was reminiscent of the purist 356 Speedster. Most models were built in the wide turbo look, with a few in the narrow body style. A total of 2,104 vehicles were produced, 1,944 of which were wide-body and 171 narrow-body. The most common exterior colors for the Speedster include Guards Red, Grand Prix White, and Black Uni – less common are exterior colors such as Silver, Dark Blue, Slate Gray, or very few examples in special colors (Paint-to-Sample).
CONDITION OF BODYWORK, PAINTWORK & INTERIOR
This Speedster is in absolutely original condition. The vehicle is almost completely in its original paint (exception: driver's side side panel & color matching door, delicate cosmetic repainting due to a small dent, the paintwork is of impeccable quality, without color differences, invoice from the Porsche Center is available, pictures also). The Speedster was only driven in good weather and with extreme care – accordingly, it has no rust and virtually no stone chips. Of course, all original stickers (hood, color sticker on trunk, etc.) are still in place. The entire full leather interior is in original condition with slight patina corresponding to the mileage. Throughout its life, it was also driven with a second set of black floor mats (see photos). The soft top is also in good condition with no discoloration or holes/tears.
TECHNICAL CONDITION
The Speedster has a full service history and also underwent extensive technical refurbishment just 100 km ago in August 2025. During this process, we replaced many of the original components, such as the original shock absorbers, the original clutch, the original suspension joints, brake hoses, and much more. This was done solely on the basis of aging and with the aim of restoring the very good factory handling, not because of mileage-related wear and tear. The following work has been carried out using OEM-quality parts:
- Replacement of tires / Pirelli
- Shock absorbers replaced (Bilstein B6 as original)
- Renewal of tie rods / Turbo version
- Renewal of suspension joints
- Brake hose replacement and brake fluid change
- Wheel alignment / track adjustment
- Replacement of oil hoses between oil tank and thermostat
- Replacement of oil hoses between oil pipes and front oil cooler
- Replacement of suction hose between oil tank and oil cooler on crankcase
- Replacement of oil hoses to hydraulic chain tensioners
- Engine oil change with filter
- Adjusting valve clearance
- Fuel and air filters
- Transmission oil change
- Replacement of distributor cap and rotor (Bosch)
- Replacement of spark plugs (Bosch)
- Replacement of ignition cable set (Beru)
- Replacement of clutch as complete set (Sachs) incl. release bearing, etc.
- Replacement of TDC sensor on starter ring gear/flywheel (Bosch)
- Replacement of fuel line to pressure regulator
- Replacement of V-belt
- Installation of Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB BT radio / retro look with Bluetooth and hands-free system
The total investment in this Speedster amounted to around €13,500 as part of this latest technical overhaul. This vehicle therefore has no maintenance backlog and is ideally suited to being driven reliably and with pleasure.
