In 2020, various wearing parts on the vehicle were replaced at a well-known Porsche specialist for air-cooled Porsches with an invoice of €8,000. This includes parts of the rear axle, stabilizers including rubber and other chassis parts.
The Continental tires with DOT 2019 have only been driven a few hundred kilometers.
The engine develops its beefy power flawlessly and straightforwardly. The 915 transmission with the coveted M241 shift travel shortening can be shifted cleanly. The 3.2 has a very clean idle characteristic without sawing or fluctuations and precise starting behavior. Warm and cold.
The Carrera was delivered to its first owner at Porsche in Chicago on September 12, 1986 and was always located on Lake Michigan north of Chicago until it was imported to Germany in 2009. The history can be easily traced through the stamped Porsche service book and the comprehensive CARFAX protocol.
