HCC is pleased to offer this 1970 Porsche 911E finished in its original Conda Green over Black Leatherette with Green Wool Pepita inserts. Built in December 1969, this is a numbers-matching example retaining its original 2.2-liter flat-six and 5-speed 901 manual transmission.
This 911E remained within the same extended family circle from new until 2017, spanning 47 years of continuous, enthusiast ownership. The car benefits from extensive documentation dating back to 1970, including it’s original Window Sticker, original Maintenance Booklet with Service Stamps, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and all service records.
In 1978, the original owner converted the hydropneumatic front suspension to factory 911S specification, including aluminum “S” calipers and Koni strut inserts. In 1990, the transmission was fully rebuilt and the brake system overhauled.
In 2000, the car underwent a comprehensive refurbishment by Aurel & Don’s of North Hollywood. Work included a full engine rebuild with Mahle “S” pistons and cylinders, chain tensioner updates, stainless steel heat exchangers, new bearings, timing components, oil lines, clutch service, and oil cooler replacement. At the same time, the car had a windows-out repaint in its original Conda Green and the interior refreshed with new seat covers, door panels, carpet, dash, and rubber seals.
Subsequent ownership included continuing the refinement: The 6×15 Fuchs restored by Harvey Weidman, new Koni front inserts, Bilstein rear shocks, turbo tie rods, wheel bearings, sway bars, strut brace, throttle body rebuild, pedal cluster reconditioning, transmission mounts, shifter bushings, and European H4 headlights installed.
More recently, the engine received a top-end rebuild by Air Cooled, including replacement of three pistons, rebuilt and tuned MFI pump, and refinishing of engine components. Compression readings remain strong and consistent across all six cylinders.
Now showing 77,807 miles, with approximately 9,800 miles since its top-end rebuild and approximately 39,000 miles since the full engine rebuild.
This 1970 911E is offered with its original factory documentation, extensive service history, tool kit, spare wheel, extra keys, and a clean Texas Title.
