According to the existing delivery certificate, the Porsche was invoiced on April 1, 1976, and delivered by the Frankfurt Porsche dealer Glöckler.
As a German vehicle with special equipment, the 911 subsequently made its way to the U.S. via a certain Mr. John Denton. This can be verified by the birth certificate and the U.S. “Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Certification Label,” which we still have in our possession today.
After its time in America, the current owner imported the 911 back to Germany. Here, it underwent an extensive restoration starting in 2016 at the hands of expert workshops.
We have fully documented the details of this restoration, which can be requested via our comprehensive exposé. You can either request it through an Elfer Spot inquiry or obtain it via our website (you can find the website on our Elfer Spot dealer profile).
Restoration 2016–2025
Starting in November 2016, the vehicle was systematically restored to its original factory condition. At the heart of the process was a complete engine overhaul performed by the renowned Mezgerwerk Hanenkamp & Höing GmbH. During this process, the engine was completely disassembled, measured, cleaned, and rebuilt with new valve guides, a reconditioned oil pump, and new K-Jetronik intake manifolds.
This was followed by a complete overhaul of the chassis, brakes, and drivetrain, including TÜV certification.
In addition, the electrical system and transmission were completely overhauled, and all applicable wear parts were replaced or refurbished.
Visually, the car was repainted in its original factory color, Copper Brown, and the original interior upholstery was renewed in Tartan Beige.
The current odometer reading was adjusted following the engine overhaul, reset to zero, and duly noted. Since then, the vehicle has been driven less than 2,000 km, so it has barely been broken in.
