Once the body work was completed the car was finished in a high quality paint job in Pastel Blau Weiss 49B, a stunning individual off-white colour which really suits the car. The car was then reassembled using as many of the original parts as possible. A high compression 2.7S engine was stripped and rebuilt before being installed along with fully refurbished 40mm Weber carburettors, SSI heat exchangers and stainless straight pipes supplied by Machine Revival in France. The result is a very loud, free revving engine producing 197bhp. The lightweight 3 piece Compomotive Fuchs style wheels where refurbished with anthracite centres matching the custom Porsche script decals and were wrapped in new Toyo tyres. The brakes were upgraded to 3.2 Carrera brakes to improve stopping power. Amber headlights, 911R deck lid hinges, rear windscreen holder, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, removable half cage and 3″ Onassis harnesses finish off the look inspired by the classic race cars of the 60s and early 70s. The classic Recaro seats were re-trimmed in a Steel Blue leather with lighter inserts by Porsche trim experts PF911. This classic 911 is loud and raucous, producing a visceral experience. Combined with the lightweight nimble nature of the car it makes for a very individual and entertaining drive. The car could be enjoyed as is or further customised to your own taste, it could even been returned back to a stock 1968 car fairly easily knowing that the shell is completely solid. Either way we believe this car represents great value in todays market and will certainly put a big smile on your face!
