Porsche – 911 2.7 R optics original SWB short wheelbase triple WEBER carburetor DT. Admission

Legendary and earlier Porsche 911 from the production year 1968 with short wheelbase (SWB) and the original magnesium 2.7 liter engine with double triple Weber carburettors (registered!)

The 911 is officially H-registered! The engine was reset just a few weeks ago and, according to the test report, produces a whopping 132 kW, i.e. 181 HP at 6350 rpm (and only 1080 kg). Everything, of course, entered in the German registration.

The machine starts promptly, runs fantastic and is dry.

The car itself was built at the KUNDENSPORT company in Oxnard California in the early 2000s professionally and with many original parts as R optics. Incidentally, the partial cage is only screwed.

The vehicle in detail

KUNDENSPORT is managed exclusively by Ed Palmer today. At the time the R was being built, Hans Lapine (son of Porsche designer Anatole Lapine) was one of the initiators of this project.

In addition to the R optics and legendary driving performance, the 911 has the 110 L racing tank and the rare low-bed steel rims with tires from the manufacturer Michelin (DOT 2015). The individually designed exhaust system creates a sonorous racing atmosphere without being uncomfortably loud. The car is therefore also suitable for extensive leisure tours.

In 2014, the Porsche was returned to Germany in the collection of a Porsche lover, who had the 911 technically and body-wise reworked in a renowned Porsche specialist company, regardless of the costs.

The detailed invoices with a total value of almost € 20,000 are of course available in their original form.

Since then, the R has only been run in gently for 1,800 km. Since then definitely no racing, etc. The entire body structure appears to be skilful, true to the original with good gaps
. The interior with its two sports seats and 4-fold sports belts is new and looks very neat

The driving characteristics are – as expected – and above all acoustically – outstandingly good thanks to the powerful 2.7 liter engine and the sports suspension

Gearbox and clutch shift exactly.

If desired, the engine can be optimized to a good 200 hp by increasing the fuel pressure on the engine test bench in the upper speed range.

You now have the rare chance of purchasing a sought-after SWB 911 with the right amount of power at a fair price with an exciting history and good documentation.

Look forward to an exciting Porsche with a high level of sympathy.
