1969 Porsche 911T Sunroof Coupe – R-Gruppe Hot Rod
Built by Ryan Turri and powered by a naturally aspirated 3.3-liter flat-six. The engine case is a 930 Turbo 3.3-liter (Type 930/60) 3,318cc displacement with a 70.4mm stroke, 100.0mm pistons, GE60 camshafts, twin-plug ignition, 3.2 Carrera oil cooler, and 46 Weber carburetors. The engine was original built by Gary Dielacher at GD Racing of San Mateo, California. In January of 2020 Schneider Autohaus in Santa Barbara, California did a freshen up on the engine and an additional $25,000 was spent. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a short-ratio 915 five-speed manual transmission which was rebuilt by Charles Rossignol of California. Factory gearing was retained from first to third, but fourth and fifth were replaced with shorter SN and QQ gears. Handling upgrades include 911SC-spec Bilstein suspension and brakes in addition to 911SC adjustable spring plates, larger torsion bars, Rebel Racing bushings, and adjustable front and rear sway bars from Tarett Engineering. The goal was to build a performance 911.
