This 911S was delivered to the North Rhine Porsche dealership in Düsseldorf in May 1972. Choosing the Viper Green color with a black interior was already a good decision, but it wasn't enough.
The first owner ordered a large number of optional extras:
locking differential
Koni dampers
Sport seat left and right
Headrest left and right
Automatic seat belts left and right
Rear tow hook
Rear wiper
Engine compartment light
Tinted wraparound glazing
Antenna on the left with speakers in front
The history from 1972 to 1984 is not fully documented. The written documentation begins with a purchase contract dated January 7th, 1984 between a Mr. Müller and a Mr. Mohry, both from a small town near Hanover. Mr. Mohry had the car from 1984 to 2015. He drove the car for a few years, then a restoration became necessary. The Porsche was shut down and parked in a garage. It stayed that way for a long time. The sale was decided in 2015, the car was advertised and immediately found a buyer, an enthusiast from Ulm. However, the original letter could no longer be found. The loss was reported to the regional council in Hanover on September 30, 2015, and the lost letter was summoned.
On November 13, 2015, the city of Ulm issued a new vehicle document to the new owner. The Porsche still needed a full restoration. A restorer from the Göppingen area received the order and set to work. The aim was to bring the Porsche as close as possible to the condition in which it was delivered from the factory.
The car has been completely rebuilt with great care. The original engine was missing, a 2.7 liter engine was installed. So a correct 2.4S engine was procured and rebuilt by a renowned specialist company. The original 4-speed lockable gearbox has also been revised. The restoration was completed in 2022 and is documented with photos and invoices.
The car has driven about 2,000 km since the restoration. It runs perfectly, everything works without problems. It drives surprisingly well with its original 4-speed gearbox, thanks to its 190 hp engine.
