I bought the vehicle from GT Classic in December 2009 as a project still to be completed. At that time, the body had already been restored and painted and was awaiting final assembly. After 42 years from its first registration in April 1970, the car was put back on the road in March 2012. At a mileage of 2,125 kilometers, a slight engine leak was detected and repaired as part of an engine overhaul with various new parts (invoice available). Unfortunately, the work was not carried out professionally, so that the engine was overhauled again by a renowned engine builder at mileage 5,220. Extensive photo documentation and invoice are also available here. After the running-in and running-in phase, the engine was finally tuned on the roller dynamometer at VGS Motorsport in Cologne in March 2022 at around mileage 12,000. According to the measurement report, the engine now has a DIN standard output of 198.5 hp and a maximum DIN standard torque of 220.9 Nm with standard S-pistons and camshafts. The engine now runs silky smooth, is dry, responds well to the throttle and has a beguiling sound up to the maximum speed of 7,200 rpm. An Eisenmann twin-pipe sports exhaust with ABE is fitted. A Dansk stainless steel sports exhaust in the original look is available and can be purchased separately.

In addition to the engine, the gearbox was also overhauled. Three shift sleeves, the 1st and 2nd gear shift teeth and the synchronizer rings 1-3 were replaced and the plate/bevel gear renewed. An invoice is also available here.

The body is rust-free and in perfect condition. The car was only driven on dry and salt-free roads. In April 2022, the paintwork received a professional treatment and ceramic sealant. Since ownership, the vehicle has only been cleaned by hand washing. For visual reasons, I have replaced the original hood with an aluminum hood from an earlier model year. The original hood can also be purchased.

In the interior, the original comfort seats have been replaced by Recaro replicas from Deser in imitation leather/pepita including folding consoles. The original seats are currently mounted on a pedestal and can also be taken over. A three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with ABE from Nardi with a Porsche horn button replaces the 4-spoke Porsche steering wheel.

The suspension with Bilstein dampers was adjusted at Probst Motorsport on the wheel load scales at mileage 5,793. The vehicle height and wheel loads were checked and adjusted. Invoice and measurement report are available.

The car is mounted on 6×15 front and 7×15 Fuchs rims with Pirelli P6000 195/65 R15 tires with Porsche identification. The tires were fitted in 2021 at a mileage of 5,220 km.

The current mileage since restoration/new registration is 14,428 km. The car is still occasionally driven in nice and dry weather.
