It was September 5, 1978, and the then 42-year-old photographer Klaus L. from Wiesbaden ordered his 911 SC Coupé in Guards Red for DM 42,950. He also chooses the options: black anodized parts 370 DM, electric sunroof 1,550 DM, black headliner 105 DM, sports steering wheel 230 DM, Porsche Radio CR stereo 1,295 DM and the very rare 7/8 x15-inch Fuchs rims.
Obviously, he seems to have grown so fond of the car that he drove it for the next 31 years until his death, and even after that it remained in the family for another 15 years. It was only in 2024, after 46 years, that the car was sold to its second owner.
