1970 Porsche 911T Coupe

• VIN 9110122XXX
• One of 4,126 Karmann Coupes produced in 1970

This is a very good turnkey 911T driver, finished in its original color Signal Orange (1414) with original Black leatherette upholstery. Very good gaps and panel fit with original paint on the hood and both rear quarter panels. Cosmetically, the paintwork is presentable, but it does have road rash on the front nose and other paint imperfections. All the glass is the original “Sigla” except for the front windshield. Interior is original with a crack in the dash, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a butterfly horn ring, VDO instrumentation, and an aftermarket Pioneer radio. There is rust present in the rear floor pans on the outer edges, around the jack spur area on both sides, along with the driver side front closing panel. This 911T is completely drivable in its present condition.

The vehicle in detail

Mechanically, this 911 is in very good condition, with a 2.2L flat-six engine, a smooth-shifting 901 dog-leg 5-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with a jack, a spare tire, and two new batteries. A great opportunity to acquire a nice driving 911T Coupe at a reasonable price, to enjoy as is, or to restore in the future.

C Series Model Year 1970 was the first of the 2.2-liter engine with a single overhead camshaft, 6 cylinders with 2 valves per cylinder. The output of 123 bhp of power at 5,800 rpm, and maximum torque of 130 lb·ft at 4200 RPM. Top speed of 124 mph.

The 1970–1971 model years consisted of the same models of 911 the entry-level T, the midrange E, and the top-of-the-line S. However, all models got a new, larger 2.2-liter engine, which was an increase over the 2.0 liter from 1964 to 1969. The new power ratings were 120 hp for the T, 155 hp for the E, and 180 hp for the S. The 911E and 911S used mechanical fuel injection (MFI) in all markets, and the 911T was carbureted.
