The foundation of this 911 is solid and honest: a 2.2-era 911T with the familiar air-cooled flat-six engine, displacing 2,195 cc, and a factory-specified 125 hp.
The Targa was originally American-spec, factory-finished in Sepia Brown with a Brown/Black leather interior and brown basketweave leather seat inserts. In 2015, this Targa was purchased by its previous owner and restored to order in 2017. A conscious decision was made to paint the car in Slate Grey and convert the interior to a Le Mans red leather interior. Slate Grey is a typical Porsche color that instantly evokes the classic era. It’s important to be transparent: the mileage was reset during the restoration. This primarily reflects the date of the restoration, not the overall history. The positive aspect here is that the restoration documentation is available. This isn’t a car you buy simply to parrot a brochure story. This is a 911T Targa with a clear design: originally American-supplied, meticulously restored, and deliberately crafted in a classic, timeless color scheme. For anyone looking for an early Targa with character and demonstrable work behind it, this is exactly the kind of car you need to see in person.
