Porsche 911 Turbo Flachbau

Porsche 911 Turbo Flachbau

Cabriolet, 1988

Highlights

  • Manuel Transmission
  • M505 Flachbau
  • Beautiful Specification

Porsche created the 930 Turbo “Slant Nose” models (option code M505) for their road going customers who wished to have their vehicles more closely resemble their racing counterparts, the Porsche 934 and 935. As early as 1981, one could be ordered through the “Sonderwunschprogramm” (special wishes program). Due to high demand, it would become available as a special order vehicle in 1986 and finally available in standard production as of 1988. Early slant-nose cars featured headlights integrated into the front spoiler, though later conversions incorporated pop-up headlights. Coupe, convertible, and Targa versions were produced, albeit in low production numbers. Replicas and non-factory conversions can be found in the 930 Custom market. After the end of 930 production in 1989, the slant nose body style would be revived in the 964 Turbo S ‘Flachbau” for model year 1994.
