In addition, a modified 901 gearbox with a different pair of gears and the sideshifter deflection was used in conjunction with the main shaft from the Porsche 904, the locking effect was set to 60%. The final gear ratio was deliberately chosen to be 6×29 (4.83:1) in order to achieve the amazing torque and acceleration values in connection with the engine. The Vmax is thus around 220 km/h.
The racing chassis with BILSTEIN elements was completely unibal mounted and used with appropriately dimensioned stabilizers (adjustable). All pivot points and the individual suspension elements of the chassis were reinforced with corresponding gusset plates, which were welded into the body shell in an exemplary and accurate manner.
In addition, the entire body structure and passenger cell were reinforced with a continuously welded roll cage, starting at the front spring strut towers and extending to the rear trunk area. The front and rear trunk areas are connected to the stiffened structure with inserted gusset plates and bolted/removable X-braces.
The brake system was equipped with aluminum fixed calipers i. V. was used with appropriately dimensioned and cooled brake discs, and calipers from the Carrera 3.2 were used on the rear axle. Steel braided brake lines and a brake force scale complete the drastic improvement measures.
The racing instruments of the RSR (10,000 rpm DZM) and the speedometer of the 2.7 RS are installed in the interior. Contemporary racing seats on both sides with 6-point belts, fire extinguisher, MOMO sports steering wheel with shortened hub, longitudinal struts for driver and front passenger as well as diagonal strut from the roll bar to the front passenger footwell side are screwed on and can therefore be removed.

This Porsche 914/6 is NOT RESTORED. It is in its original, rust-free condition.
The 914 was repainted about 11 years ago as part of the cosmetic refurbishment, all stickers are removable.
The commissioned motor vehicle expert states:
“The vehicle was converted and rebuilt using extensive racing components based on the 914/6. The vehicle is both technically and optically in an excellent general and conservation condition. Due to the installation of the racing modules, the vehicle has extreme performance characteristics. Analogous to the classic evaluation criteria, the car is categorized with a grade of 1.5. "
