The story of the Porsche 928 is perhaps as interesting as the car itself. In 1978, the 928 was first shown to the public. Initially, the plan was to phase out the 911 in favor of the Porsche 928. However, nowadays the 911 is the icon, even though it was an old man with 15 production years during the presentation of the 928. The 928 was completely different; a thick V8 that traded in the trunk for the nose. This made the weight distribution exactly 50/50.
After 13 years “928” the best version came out; the 928 GTS. The GTS got bigger brakes, new styling and a 5.4 liter V8 that brought in no less than 350 Stuttgart horses. In the end, in 17 years, just under 61,000 units of the 928 were produced. Rumors are in the corridors that Porsche might breathe new life into the 928, as a sporty GT brother compared to its big brother, the Panamera.
Our 928 GTS is in absolute new condition. The serious Grand Tourer has only just been run in with its 56 thousand kilometers. The Porsche is equipped with really all options (climate control, cruise control, board computer, electric sliding roof, electric seats etc.). In addition, he recently (2018) had a major turn at Porsche specialist Visser in which the distribution, water pump, wheelhouse and brake station were replaced (more than € 8,800). In addition, this 928 is a VAT car (-21%). All this makes this item a real collector’s item and an interesting investment!
