VEHICLE HISTORY
This 964 was produced in September 1989 and then first delivered to the USA. It was delivered to the state of New York, then the 964 ran in Florida and finally in Texas. There is a complete CarFax report from the time in the USA, which shows a total of three owners.
In 2019 and with a mileage of 60,900 mls, this 964 was finally brought back to Germany and then transferred to its current owner in 2020. This owner is a regular customer of ours and we have been looking after the vehicle in terms of maintenance and repairs ever since.
TECHNICAL CONDITION
As part of the re-import in 2020, we carried out an extensive technical overhaul of the vehicle for the first time. This included an EU conversion of the front and rear bumpers, a renewal of the rims and tires, the installation of a cup pipe, new clutch with single-mass flywheel, installation of sports springs, overhaul of the power steering gear and hydraulic unit, as well as extensive maintenance work on the engine, ignition system and axles. In total, the investment in this 964 amounted to around EUR 13 thousand in 2020.
In 2023, this 964 underwent an extensive engine overhaul including new stud bolts, piston rings, connecting rod bearings, overhaul of the cylinder heads, overhaul of the chain drive, sealing of the engine and much more. A total of around EUR 20,000 was invested in the vehicle in 2023, the corresponding invoices are available.
OPTICAL CONDITION
This 964 Carrera 2 is in a well-kept and very original overall condition with a patina commensurate with its age and mileage. The vehicle is apparently rust-free and accident-free. The entire interior is still original, and the exterior of the vehicle also corresponds to the delivery condition, with the exception of the currently installed 17-inch wheel set in CUP design.
PAINT THICKNESS
This 964 is largely in its original paint, only the trunk lid (between 187 μ and 260 μ), the side wall on the passenger side (between 174 μ and 212 μ) and the wind deflector (between 189 μ and 300 μ) have been professionally repainted.
