Although Porsche originally planned to build 3000 examples of the 964 Speedster, less than 1000 total are known to have been made by the end of their production run in 1994. This Guards Red example is one of the lowest-mile examples to hit the market.
A follow-up to the first Speedster built on the G model platform, the 964 generation Speedster was the send-off of its generation.
Over time, the 911 Speedster became the sign of transition between body styles. Styled with the iconic double hump hood and shortened windshield, 911 Speedsters all pay tribute to the original 356 Speedster introduced in the 50s as the go-to “race on Sunday sell on Monday” vehicle.
