With the 964 generation in 1989, Porsche made the biggest technical leap in the history of the 911: for the first time, standard all-wheel drive (Carrera 4), ABS, power steering, and a 3.6-liter boxer engine with 250 PS—all packaged in the classic 911 silhouette but fundamentally modernized. Early models from the first year of production are particularly sought after, but examples preserved in truly original condition are rare.
This Carrera 4 Coupé was first registered in 1989 and has had only three owners since then. Its mileage of just 45,188 km is documented in a service log with no gaps. Also included are all original keys, the radio card, and the complete owner’s manual set.
Visually, the 911 is presented in its original silver paint —a rarity after more than three decades. Inside, the black leather shows hardly any signs of wear; the carpets, headliner, and trunk are also in exceptionally well-maintained condition. The engine bay underscores the car’s collector-quality condition: clean, preserved in its original state, and free of any paint or heat damage.
It is particularly worth noting that nearly 12,000 euros were recently invested in the vehicle’s mechanical systems and preservation. The vehicle was completely ice-blasted, the air conditioning system was overhauled, and a comprehensive major service was performed. As part of this, the brake rotors and brake pads, among other components, were replaced.
Various suspension components were also overhauled or replaced, including tie rods, A-arms, and other suspension parts. As a result, the Carrera 4 is in impeccable and extremely well-maintained condition, both mechanically and in terms of its suspension.
In addition, a Porsche Classic radio with new speakers was installed, providing modern convenience without compromising the vehicle’s classic character.
