The vehicle in detail

With the same keeper since 2002, garaged and cosseted. Covering only 20,000 miles in 17 years, it has been meticulously serviced every year and had a full engine and gearbox rebuild just 15,000 miles ago.

The previous keeper purchased in 1995 and kept it until 2002, he appears to have been equally fanatical. In addition to the service book there is a substantial history folder which includes MOT certificates and invoices covering 25 years……both have been meticulous.

The Guards red paint is in fine order, smooth and deep. Of specific note, this 964 is still to the original specification, with immaculate 7-spoke Design 90 alloys and the ‘flag’ mirrors, the rear lenses are clear and bright (must have been replaced). Altogether it has a first class appearance with the only criticism; a very small mark on the scuttle which needs no work.

The interior is as good as everything else, the Sports seats are excellent, the original carpets covered by over-carpets,. Just look at the dash and clocks…..even sporting a period Blaupunkt stereo.

It has a clear history, supplied by Ian Anthony (Wilmslow) Ltd, OPC for Cheshire in May 1990 with the following options;

* Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 radio/cassette (which is still present)
* Amplifier
* Rear wiper
* Sunroof

The next owner is set to benefit hugely from the continuous upkeep by the previous keepers. Ready to enjoy, it drives so well and looks fabulous; it would be surely welcomed at Porsche events.

This 964 wants for nothing, therefore our view is that it is definitely a Grade 4. We hope the next owner will look after it in the same manner to which it has become accustomed. Care for it and it will continue to shine….
