Six minutes and 47.3 seconds. The time represented a result of the combination of a single flying lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the 911 GT2 RS, and Porsche factory driver Lars Kern. Amazingly, this record time from the GT2 RS, ‘the most powerful streel-legal 911 model of all time’ upon its introduction, bettered the Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar’s 2015 Nürburgring lap record by nearly 10 seconds. Quite an achievement by the evergreen 911, a design that has been sculpted and refined, yet remains a clear member of the 911 family since its introduction at the Geneva Auto Salon nearly 60 years ago. Launched at the 2017 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 2018 911 GT2 RS represents the apex of the 991.2-generation.

Even after nine years, the facts and figures surrounding the 911 GT2 RS remain staggering. Seven hundred horsepower, 553 lb-ft of torque, zero-to-60 mph in 2.7-seconds, and a top track speed of 211 mph. With such staggering performance channeled through the rear wheels, it’s no wonder so many GT2 RS door sills were emblazoned with Widowmaker or Witwenmacher and why allocations for the car were so fiercely prized.

This 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a rare non-Weissach Package example finished in Mexico Blue, a quintessential Paint to Sample finish first seen in 1974 that accounts for $12,830 of the car’s extensive option list. The cockpit is equally arresting: trimmed in Black leather along with Black/Red Alcantara thoughtfully covering the seat inserts, seatbelts, steering wheel, headliner, and door handles. Manufactured at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen 12 October 2018, this example was fitted with a thorough array of desirable options including the coveted Sport Chrono Package Plus, all-important Front Axle Lift System, Automatically Dimming Mirrors with Integrated Rain Sensor, and Extended Range Fuel Tank—bringing fuel capacity to 23.7 gallons.

According to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this example was delivered new to McKenna Audi Porsche in Norwalk, California in November 2018. The GT2 RS was sold to its first owner in March 2019, landing in San Luis Obispo, California. The car primarily resided on California’s Central Coast for the next several years under the ownership of two diligent caretakers. Routine maintenance was chiefly conducted by Porsche San Luis Obispo, which included its preliminary 60,000-mile service in September 2025, though sporting just over 4,000 miles at the time. It briefly moved to Arizona at the end of the year before arriving at Porsche South Orlando, who performed its most recent service this past January.

Nearly a decade on, the 911 GT2 RS remains one of the most formidable and focused production cars to emerge from Stuttgart; a definitive expression of Porsche’s relentless pursuit of motorsport perfection. This exceptionally low-mileage example, well-maintained and brimming with sought-after options including its instantly recognizable PTS finish, is poised to excel at the world’s most revered circuits or command any canyon road.
