The GT3 RS started life as the standard 991.2 GT3, then Porsche stripped out anything that wasn’t helping lap times. The same naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six carries over, 520 hp, revving cleanly to 9,000 rpm, but here it’s wrapped in a magnesium roof, carbon bonnet and wings, a fixed rear wing that actually generates downforce, rear-axle steering, and a front track wider than the standard GT3’s. Nothing on this car is decoration. Every one of those changes does something, which is exactly why it’s as fast as it looks.

This particular RS was ordered without the Weissach Package, keeping the specification a little more usable day to day while losing none of what makes the RS the sharpest naturally aspirated 911 GT3 has ever built. Since new, it has stayed in careful hands: PPF went on before the car ever saw a stone chip, the telemetry system has logged its life on the road and track, and it presents today with well under 25,000 km on the clock. This is a GT3 RS bought to be driven, and kept in the kind of condition that means it still can be hard.
