Porsche Switzerland AG is expanding its model lineup with a limited-edition 911 special model. The “911 Carrera 4S – Exclusive Swiss Edition”(1) is being launched exclusively for 14 Swiss customers. The model will celebrate its world premiere on November 6, 2014, at the “Auto Zürich Car Show.”
This very special 911 was tailored by Porsche Switzerland in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive—with great attention to detail—for a highly discerning clientele. Porsche Exclusive is the division responsible for implementing special customizations of Porsche vehicles that go beyond the standard production range. The 911 Carrera 4S Exclusive Swiss Edition is based on the current 911 Carrera 4S and features numerous special exterior and interior options.
Both the powertrain and the suspension have been modified compared to the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S: The special Swiss model boasts an increased output of 430 PS, while the 911 Carrera 4S delivers 400 PS—30 PS less by comparison. In just 4.0 seconds (Sport Plus), this exclusive 911—which is offered exclusively with the Porsche Dual-Clutch Transmission—accelerates from a standstill to 100 kph, with a combined fuel consumption of 9.1 liters. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), including a 20-millimeter lowering, also complements the sporty character of the 911 model very well. The active damping system switches from the comfortable default setting to a sportier mode during dynamic driving, which is comparable to the characteristics of a sport suspension.
Externally, the model features a subtle finish in the classic Individual color Gray Black. SportDesign exterior mirrors, air intake grilles painted in the exterior color, a SportDesign front apron, and—in particular—the 20-inch Sport Classic wheels painted in the body color with colored wheel covers give the 911 a unique character.
Inside, the high-quality leather upholstery with red contrast stitching immediately catches the eye. The leather SportDesign steering wheel, featuring a 12 o’clock marker and a steering wheel rim with Guards Red contrast stitching, adds another visual highlight.
Unique in the Porsche world: The Swiss cross has been embossed on the lid of the storage compartment between the two front seats. The brushed aluminum trim on the center console, featuring the etched lettering “911 Carrera 4S – Exclusive Swiss Edition” and the red/silver Swiss cross badge, also references the special model, as does the lettering on the brushed stainless steel door sills.
