There are many iconic colors that have adorned Porsche’s RS cars over the years. 2.7 Carrera RS from 1973 in white with red decals, 964 RS in Maritime Blue/Stern Ruby/Mint Green, 997 GT3 RS in Viper Green — but perhaps most iconic in modern times: 991.1 GT3 RS in Ultraviolet.
A color so difficult to paint and reproduce that Porsche eventually removed it from the standard range. The result? The rarest color on an already extreme car. Which is a shame – few cars carry off purple as well as this one.
