Technology
The biggest difference back then was the engine. The RS version already got the 4.0 liter, which then delivered 25 hp and 13 Nm more torque than the "normal" GT3. On tours and excursions you hardly notice this extra performance, but when you participate in track days this difference is definitely valuable. As standard, the RS was also equipped with rear-axle steering, dynamic engine mounts, PASM and modified PDK with race-specific short gear ratios and 50% shorter shift travel on the shift paddles.
Also, the RS version looks much more aggressive thanks to the larger rear wing, wider body and numerous scoops and exhaust pipes. The car is designed to stay on the track harder and longer, which also creates more heat that needs to be dissipated. In order to produce more power and to use the brakes more, more air is required for both the engine and the brakes. But this air must also be removed. In a normal street car, most of the airflow stays under the car because downforce/lift isn't that important. It doesn't work that way with a racing car. The improvement in airflow contributes greatly to performance. This was achieved with large exhaust pipes on the front fenders, which significantly improve downforce and cooling. A nice bonus is that of course this also looks fantastic
A Porsche GT3 is designed for occasional use on the race track, while the Porsche GT 3 RS is intended for occasional use on the road.
Club Sport Package.
The Club Sport package provides additional protection on the race track and consists of a roll cage bolted to the bodywork behind the front seats, a closed 6-point belt for the driver's side, a closed fire extinguisher with holder and an additional safety belt
Equipment and options.
The car is kept in plain white, with black cockpit seats in leather/Alcantara made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) with visible carbon parts. The stitching of the seats, dashboard, door moldings and handles, as well as the roll cage are orange. A nice combination that gives the car the right look. In addition, this GTS RS has the most important options: ceramic brakes, Clubsport package and a lift system on the front axle. As comfort options, the car is equipped with cruise control, Porsche Communication Management System with navigation and air conditioning.
origin and maintenance
The car was originally delivered by Porsche Amsterdam and has undergone all maintenance according to the schedule below. We know well the last owner who had the car for 3.5 years. He only used the car for touring on public roads. The interior is clean, undamaged and just like new, partly due to low mileage and careful use. For the sake of completeness we mention that the car had a damage that was 100% repaired at Porsche. This RS subsequently received a Porsche Approved Warranty valid until September 2024.
