Technology & Performance. The 992 Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder flat-six engine with 450 pk and 530 Nm of torque. Maximum torque is available between 2,300 and 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to the 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and all-wheel drive.
With the Sport Chrono Package, the Carrera 4S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It takes 8.0 seconds to go from 0 to 160 km/h, and 200 km/h is reached from a standstill in 12.4 seconds. The top speed is 306 km/h.
It is precisely the chassis that makes this particular Carrera 4S special. In addition to the standard adaptive PASM, the car features rear-axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. At low speeds, the rear-axle steering steers in the opposite direction to the front wheels for added agility, and at higher speeds, it steers in the same direction for greater stability. PDCC limits lateral body roll during dynamic cornering. Combined with PTV Plus, Sport Chrono, dynamic engine mounts, and all-wheel drive, this creates an exceptionally comprehensive chassis configuration.
The front-axle lift system, on the other hand, adds a great deal of practical convenience, especially in everyday use. With the push of a button, the front end can be raised to clear speed bumps, enter parking garages, or navigate steep driveways.
