With the latest generation of Porsche 911, something special is going on. With the 992, the famous German manufacturer of extremely strong and extremely fast sports cars is building on the unparalleled success of its predecessors. Although there is again clearly an evolution, Porsche has done something different than usual this time. In contrast to the previous Elfers, which have modernized generation after generation in a very natural way, the 992 seems to be more consciously derived from one specific type from the past. Looking at the super sleek front, we see, for example, more Porsche 964 than with previous models. The rear also follows its own path, but precisely because it differs more strongly from everything else that Porsche has called 911 until now. As far as we are concerned, a daring and oh so successful combination!
Cast in Carrera White, the 992 Cabriolet has all the more refreshing appearance. Exciting, too, thanks in part to beautiful exterior options such as the SportDesign package, the SportDesign side skirts (both from Porsche Exclusive Manufactur) and 20/21 inch (front / rear) Carrera Classic wheels. The sleek, high-quality interior encloses your body in the familiar Porsche way: the 992 Carrera 4S Cabriolet with adaptive sports seats fits like a glove. The leather upholstery is in Black, finished with contrasting Kreide stitching. Another detail that stands out in the predominantly black cockpit is the white rev counter. The proportions between black and white are the exact opposite of what the outside shows. For the finishing touch, Porsche mounted a GT Sports steering wheel. The Porsche 992 Cabriolet steers like the very best. There is also nothing to complain about going straight ahead: the characteristic 6-cylinder boxer engine is more advanced than ever and with the help of a double turbo it gets no less than 450 hp from the 3.0 liter block. The further sophisticated 8-speed PDK transmission is also very high-tech. Fast shifting is all Porsche’s thing, making a 0-100 km / h sprint history after just 3.8 seconds. The top speed of 304 km / h allows the 992 4S to penetrate the illustrious 300+ club. Aided by the wonderful sports exhaust, the performance also literally sounds impressive.
