The Ben Pon Jr. Edition was developed by Pon Porsche Import in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur as a tribute to Ben Pon Jr. and to mark 70 years of Porsche importership in the Netherlands. The official launch took place in 2019 in the presence of Dr. Wolfgang Porsche. Following the passing of Ben Pon Jr. on the same day, it was decided to definitively name the special edition after him.
The car is finished in the exclusive Paint To Sample color Fischsilbergrau. This is the exact same color as the very first Porsche 356 registered in the Netherlands by Pon Porsche Import in 1949. As such, this model serves as a direct reference to Dutch Porsche history.
In addition to the unique color scheme, this model stands out thanks to a host of exclusive details. These include the SportDesign package, aluminum trim around the side windows, 20/21-inch Carrera Exclusive Design wheels, and a high-quality interior finished in graphite blue leather with GT silver stitching.
The interior also exudes exclusivity. The illuminated aluminum door sills bear the signature of Ben Pon Jr., while various details such as the key case, the armrest, and the headrests feature special Ben Pon details. The headliner and sun visors are finished in Race-Tex, and the backs of the sport seats are upholstered in blue leather—unique details specific to this edition.
