"Polar silver metallic" is what Porsche calls the exterior color of the 993 Coupé. Except for the roof area, the body has been completely repainted, which means that the paintwork of the Porsche is in almost new condition – you will look in vain for scratches, quirks, stone chips or similar damage. According to the seller, the car was accidentally damaged in 2019 after parts of the bodywork were replaced and repaired at a specialist restoration workshop. The body work carried out includes the replacement of the front right fender and the front and rear plastic bumpers. The rear left side panel was also professionally repaired. The sheet metal damage also left no damage to the vehicle structure. An original invoice with a detailed list of the work carried out is enclosed. The gap dimensions show that the work was obviously done professionally, so that the body of the 993 is in almost perfect condition today. After the import from the USA, the Porsche was converted to the German version, which means the conversion of the bumpers, the removal of the third brake light and the adaptation of the chassis to the German standard.
The 17-inch Porsche aluminum rims are in a well-kept appearance, and the seller also describes the mounted Pirelli tires from 2016 as good. The brakes have new discs and pads on the front wheels and are also reported to be in good condition.
The interior of the 993, including the lavish leather appointments, is kept entirely in grey. The interior shows light wear from the past 26 years, concentrated on the manual transmission shift knob and the driver's seat. The steering wheel has been completely reupholstered and does not look worn. Hardly any signs of wear are visible on the temperature controls and controls either. A retrofitted CD radio from Pioneer is installed in the dashboard of the Porsche. Other features include a steel sunroof, central locking, power steering, power windows, air conditioning, ABS and cruise control.
The instrument panel in the 993 is also in the classic Porsche style, with five round instruments displaying the relevant information. Based on the speedometer, which is located to the right of the rev counter in the middle, a mileage of 49,445 km can be read. The original MPH speedometer was exchanged for a German KM/H speedometer at the equivalent of 145000 km. This mileage is largely traceable through the enclosed invoices, TÜV reports and checkbook entries. According to the information, the instruments work flawlessly.
At the rear of the 993 Coupé is the air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine, which produces a maximum rated output of 272 hp with a displacement of 3600 cm³. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The Porsche received its last service in December 2021. In addition to the front brakes, the alternator was recently renewed on the car and the air conditioning was overhauled. Upcoming repairs are not known according to the information.
The seller states that the underbody is in good condition.
