Our Porsche 911 Type 993 Carrera RS 3.8 is a very fine example, first registered on 21 October 1996 and delivered new in Germany. Finished in Indian Red, it has covered just 39,723 kilometres and benefits from a particularly well-documented history spanning almost thirty years.

This is a Comfort version, combining the uncompromising character of the Carrera RS with a few additional features such as air conditioning and electric windows. The interior is fitted with black leather Sport bucket seats with manual adjustment, while the exterior retains the characteristic RS features, including 18-inch five-spoke wheels, the rear spoiler and an aluminium front strut brace.

The vehicle in detail

Its history is especially well documented. After its early years in Germany, where it was notably serviced by Autohaus Kruse and later RUF Automobile, the car was subsequently maintained in Spain, the United Kingdom and then France. Its service book records regular visits to various specialist workshops, allowing its mileage progression to be traced consistently from 1997 onwards.

Since arriving in France, its maintenance has notably continued with Crubilé Sport. In May 2023, at 34,626 km, the car received an engine oil service, replacement filters, a brake fluid change and a general inspection. More recently, in June 2026 at 37,919 km, a further service was carried out including engine oil and filter replacement, brake fluid change, inspection of the brake discs and pads, wheel play checks and adjustment of the alternator belt tension. Paint protection film was also applied to the wings.

The file also includes an appraisal carried out in April 2021. It describes the bodywork as free from corrosion or signs of accident damage, with very good-quality paintwork that had undergone some partial refinishing. The engine, identified as the original unit, was described at the time as free from oil leaks and in good operating condition. The appraisal also highlighted the very good overall presentation of both the interior and the mechanical components.

The Carrera RS 3.8 is one of the most iconic versions of the 993 generation. Its naturally aspirated 3,746 cc flat-six engine, six-speed manual gearbox and lightweight chassis make it a particularly authentic car, highly sought after today by enthusiasts of air-cooled Porsche models.

With its exceptionally low and consistent mileage, documented history, service book, original engine and recent maintenance by Crubilé Sport, this example represents a particularly attractive opportunity for a collector seeking a 993 Carrera RS.
