In 1998, Porsche offered the WLS2 package (option code XLC) for the final year of 993 Turbo production. This upgraded the standard 408 hp Turbo to 450 hp using full Turbo S/GT2 specification: larger K24 turbochargers instead of the standard K16 units, additional front oil cooler, twin-pipe exhaust system, and recalibrated ECU. The performance matched the Turbo S exactly, in a more understated package. Only 266 units left the factory with XLC specification, making these cars extraordinarily rare compared to standard Turbos.
This particular XLC wears Arctic Silver (L92U) over cashmere extended leather (YA) with draped leather seats (939/982): a classy spec that aged beautifully. To keep things classy, the rear badge was deleted (498): no “Turbo” lettering, nothing calling attention to what this car actually is. Just a clean silver 911 that happens to make 450 hp and run large GT-derived K24 turbos.
Delivered new in Italy in 1998, the car comes with all original documentation and a stamped service book showing proper maintenance throughout its life. It’s matching numbers with 100% original paint, and exceptional preservation for a 27-year-old car.
Only 266 XLC Turbos were ever built, and finding one with original paint, matching numbers, complete documentation, and this level of tasteful specification is increasingly difficult. This is a proper collector’s 993 Turbo with Turbo S performance in gentleman’s clothing.
Don’t miss your chance!
