The special model “40 Years of the 911” marks a highlight of the series. It is particularly sporty and has high quality equipment. A visual distinguishing feature are the cooling air openings in the front that were adopted from the 911 Turbo. The side air inlet grilles (front) are painted in the vehicle color. Side sill panels on the left and right as well as shot-peened 18-inch Carrera wheels and highly polished tailpipes ensure an expressive look down to the last detail. The output of the 3.6 liter boxer engine is 345 hp (254 kW). The 25 hp increase in power compared to the series 911 is particularly noticeable in the upper engine speed range, which suits the sporty, ambitious driver. A more direct accelerator pedal kinematics ensures spontaneous response. Even more sportiness and a more direct driving experience – the anniversary 911 is ten millimeters lower than the production model – conveys a firmer chassis. An additional mechanical rear differential lock ensures even better traction of the driven rear wheels and thus optimal acceleration potential. The interior is equipped with dark gray natural leather. The center console, the backrests of the sports seats and groove strips on the instrument panel as well as the side panels of the handbrake lever are painted in the vehicle color.
