Launched in 1999, the Porsche 996.1 GT3 marked a historic turning point by becoming the first model in the GT3 lineage, designed to homologate the race version for the GT3 Cup class. It is distinguished by its 3.6-liter "Mezger" engine, a naturally aspirated block derived from racing that produces 360 hp, renowned for its exceptional reliability and metallic sound.
Aesthetically, it is recognizable by its famous “banana wing” rear spoiler, while retaining the front headlights of the 996 Phase 1. Devoid of electronic driving aids (except for ABS), it offers a raw and demanding driving experience that immediately captivated track purists. Only 1,868 units were produced.
This car was delivered new on November 23, 2000, at the Porsche Center in Lyon. This example has always been serviced within the Porsche network. This GT3 was purchased by its current owner in 2006.
