Compared to the normal GT3, the RS has been made lighter (thanks to carbon parts, thinner windows and the omission of comfort features), has a firmer chassis and even more precise tuning. Visually, it stands out with its white basic design with red or blue decorative stripes and the fixed rear section - all functional elements to improve driving performance. Today, the 996 GT3 RS is considered a modern classic with real collector's potential. It was the first RS model in the modern GT series and marks the beginning of a model series that is still successful today.
