The Porsche 911 is, of course, a living legend. Over the years, it has come in countless versions. Porsche is a master in developing this concept further and over the years, besides the standard versions, has also released a number of special versions, limited or not. Over the years, the most famous versions have been the RS models of the early years and GT3, GT3RS, GT2 and GT2RS of the later series. In addition, of course, since 1979 the turbo and later the turbo S versions of all series are known worldwide. We currently have a very special 911 version of the 997 series (made from 2004 to 2012) and that is a GTS with PDK gearbox. This one is from year 2011 and thus from the second series 997.
A very special car for several reasons. First of all, the demonstrable mileage of only 15000 kilometres. In addition, a verifiable maintenance history at Porsche carried out on time and obviously not by mileage, because then the car would be due for its first service now! The special options such as the carbon/alcantara racing bucket seats, the alcantara sports steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles to control the PDK 7-speed gearbox, the very special 19-inch spoked rims with black painted centre and central wheel nut, the leather/alcantara interior, with which both the dashboard, the centre console, the door panels and the headliner are upholstered in combination with the aluminium inlays. very beautiful, exclusive and special. Furthermore, the car is still equipped with a laundry list of regular, original and often expensive Porsche options. Among others, PCM including Bose sound package, PASM, Sport Chrono Plus, sports exhaust, sliding/tilting roof, front and rear parking sensors, climate control and so on. For the complete overview, please refer to the list in the ad.
How does a 2011 Porsche 911 GTS drive with these options and this mileage. Like new and downright addictive. The atmospheric 3.8-litre Boxer engine with 408 hp. Very powerful but also very dosable. As if the throttles were an extension of your foot, the engine hangs on the throttle so eagerly. Especially in sport or sport plus mode. This car gets rid of its power very well, also thanks to the limited slip differential that is fitted. The lightning-fast PDK 7-speed gearbox, controlled from the steering wheel, gives you total control. Last but not least is the sound. Words fail us for this. Deep and heavy at low revs, full and warm in mid revs, to beautifully screeching like a thoroughbred racing car at 6500-7000 rpm. Of course, the sensitive and direct steering, optimum seating position and fantastic brakes are just a little bit better than in civilian versions. Anyone who now thinks this is only a nervous, unruly racing car that only comes into its own at high speeds and on the track is dead wrong. Dampers in comfort, no sport mode engaged, and the gearbox in automatic. This car is then just as easily driven through busy city traffic or used for a quiet touring drive.
Of course, this is a car that would be very suitable as an investment for a collector. Provided the mileage does not get too high (still plenty of room!) and the maintenance is carried out neatly, the value will at least be preserved. But we sincerely hope, that a privileged and happy next owner, will also use the car regularly and enjoy this thoroughbred sports car to the fullest. Looking for a unique 997 coupé?
