The vehicle in detail

The 997.2 Turbo’s Notoriety: The 997.2 generation Turbo denotes the very last of the 6-speed manual-equipped 911 Turbos with the 2012 model year signaling the end of the manual-operated 911 Turbo. The 991 Turbo’s transmission offering was only limited to PDK and the 992 Turbo will more than likely continue to utilize PDK. Not only are its successors lacking a manual transmission, but the 991s and 992 911s lack the preferable sizing that this example offers as it’s really the last of the svelte-shaped and “right-sized” Turbos that are inline to the original 911 Turbo’s (930) design philosophy.

This well-appointed Turbo displays an odometer reading of a low 10,XXX miles, benefits from a recent and complete servicing rendered by our in-house Porsche Tech with 30 years of expertise (servicing specifics are available), and featured an original MSRP of $158,645 with a build sheet listing the following equipment: Limit Slip Rear Different Lock; Heated Seats (Front); Heated Steering Wheel; WhlCtrsw/FullcolorPorscheCrest; Ventilated Seats (Front); Bi-Xenon headlights incl. PDLS; SportChrPkgTurbo-w/DynEngMount; XM Satellite Radio Receiver; Leather Inter Pkg 2-Tone Combo; Black/SandBeigeFull LeatherInt; Cabriolet roof in Black; PreparIlluminatDoorSillGuards; Center Console in Leather; Porsche Crest Emboss Headrest; DoorEntryGuardStainSteel-Illum; Basalt Black Metallic.
Upon viewing the Turbo’s aerodynamically optimized body, your presence is welcomed by its beautifully buoyant Basalt Black Metallic finish that harmoniously complements the interior’s delightfully differentiating two-tone Black/Sand Beige design theme; front bumper boasting integrated and aesthetically unobstructive headlight washers, intake duct incorporated LED turn signals, and compact fog lights that are aptly stationed on the bumper’s outermost region; Bi-Xenon headlights; a sleek gas lid that’s understatedly incorporated into the right fender; a soft-top completed in Black that can be operated at speeds of up to 31 mph; 19-inch Turbo II wheels (showcased in front of red brake calipers which are accented by white ‘Porsche’ insignia); the rear’s pronounced, muscular fenders that are accentuated by the model’s signature air intakes; a bi-plane rear spoiler featuring an automatically deploying top wing that raises at around 77 MPH and lowers at roughly 37 MPH; LED taillights; twin exhaust outlets that subtly protrudes from the distinctive, twin-vented, rear bumper.

Just before slipping inside of its notable two-tone Black/SandBeige Full Leather cabin, you’re first met by stainless steel door inlays featuring illuminated ‘turbo’ script and one of the first things that’ll catch your attention is the delectably deviating color scheme of Sand Beige engulfing the lower and midsection areas of the cabin with black adorning the upper regions; Comfort seats emphasized by perforations, light-colored stitching, and an embossed Porsche Crest on the headrest along with the bright-metallic finish that covers the lower region of the front seats and when inside you can expect to find light-colored stitching and bright-finished metallic-coated surfacing on select areas with carpeting completed in Sand Beige and sumptuous leather that extends onto the upper dashboard and door areas. The driver is faced with a black leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel featuring heating; titanium-colored instrumentation dials with turbo insignia bearing tachometer; a centrally located dash-mounted SportChrono dial also with a titanium-colored finish; 6.5-inch touchscreen navigation display; the dazzling, 6-speed shifter offering clear-cut throws and possessing a gear lever design that’s native the Turbo model. Front occupants are embraced by the supportive Comfort seats which boast heating and cooling functionalities for both occupants and memory settings for the driver and can expect in-cabin audio playback via the BOSE Surround Sound System, featuring 12-speakers.
