The 997 Porsche 911 was the brand’s second generation of water-cooling their iconic sports car. Many enthusiasts regard the 997 as the perfect “modern” 911, for its usability, driving enjoyment and overall size. The vehicle in detail

This 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is a beautiful example finished in Atlas Gray over a Black leather interior. Showing 72,850 miles, this 6-speed manual equipped convertible is well optioned, and has been properly maintained since new. First sold through Porsche Exchange in Highland Park, Illinois in September of 2005, this 911 spent time in Illinois and Nevada, before coming to Washington in 2015. Sitting on SportDesign 19-inch wheels, the car features a power retractable soft top in black cloth, optional Xenon headlights and an outstanding sounding factory sport exhaust system.

Inside, the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, door cards and center console are wrapped in black leather, with the seat headrests featuring an embossed Porsche logo. The optional Bose high end stereo has been fitted in this car, with 12-speakers, 7-individual channels and 325 watts of output, this is a welcome addition for top-down motoring and provides remarkably clear sound quality.

Powering the Carrera S is a 3.8-liter Flat 6 that is rated from the factory at 355 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. In this example, it is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission with a factory short shifter. Handling is aided by Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), giving the car electronic damper control and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) to help keep you out of trouble when driving fast.

Dobson Stuttgart has looked after this car since 2019, and most recently in November of 2024, we completed a brake fluid flush, fuel system cleaning and an oil service. As the weather is only getting nicer, this is the perfect top-down summer fun car that you will almost certainly want to drive all year long.
