The 2011 GT2 RS perfectly illustrates Porsche Intelligent Performance and achieves a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of around 5 percent compared to the previous 911 GT2. The 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine has two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry and transmits its power to the rear wheels exclusively via a six-speed manual gearbox. The Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes (PCCB) ensure equally impressive braking performance. New tires specially developed for the 911 GT2 RS in the dimensions 245/35 ZR 19 at the front and 325/30 ZR 19 at the rear ensure cornering behavior that corresponds to straight-line stability. The tuning of the springs, the Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management (PASM), unique stabilizers, specific engine mounts and the newly calibrated Porsche Stability Management (PSM), whose stability and traction control functions can be switched off individually, ensure extreme cornering dynamics. The combined effect of these developments can be seen on the race track. The ultimate 911 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, reaches a top speed of 305 km/h and laps the famous Nürburgring-Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 18 seconds.
