This car was developed for use in the GTE (GT2) class of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Porsche 997 GT3 RSR was introduced by Porsche Motorsport in 2007 as its latest customer sports model and was designed strictly for competition on the world's most important race tracks. It follows on from its highly successful predecessor, the 996 RSR.
Only 37 examples of the 997 RSR were produced in 2007, and only 98 vehicles were built in total between 2007 and 2012, making this model a very rare and sought-after version of the Porsche GT racing car.

History:
The car was sold new to the first owner of Porsche Motorsport in March 2007, where it remained until August 2020.
During its stay in Japan, it had only two owners and was only used for private track days, apart from one Porsche Challenge Cup race.
Back in Europe, the vehicle was used in the 2021 ERL, including in "LE MANS" at the "LE Mans Classic" and took a podium place in its class of 17 vehicles.
the vehicle only had one race in 2022 and has been waiting for new assignments ever since.
The vehicle has never been involved in an accident and has no other damage, the bodywork is accident-free and has never been repainted!
With less than 7,000 km on the clock, the vehicle has its original body, engine, gearbox and roll cage, which means that it is complete with the original serial numbers and in near mint condition ( Matching Numbers).
The total mileage since the engine was completely overhauled is approx. 3,500 km, which corresponds to around 26 hours.
The upcoming work that would need to be done:
Replace brake disks and pads,
Adjust valves,
Pressure loss test,
Oil change with filter and cleaning of the injection valves.
Gearbox inspection and replacement of the four-point bearings,
Crack test
Final measurement of the axle geometry.
The fuel tank, seat, seat belts and extinguishing system are currently in a renewed condition.
The engine is fitted with the correct FIA/CO approved 295mm air restrictors, together with appropriate engine settings from the engine management and Bosch software.
Spare parts include two sets of wheels, which are also in good condition, and replacement body parts (front and rear bumper, front fenders and side spoiler).
