The vehicle in detail

Positioned on the Turbo’s familiar 19-inch forged alloy Turbo wheels featuring a two-tone finish and painted center caps which are showcased before red calipers featuring “PORSCHE” insignia in white with the Turbo’s iconic form draped in the inconspicuously suave grey tone of Slate Grey Metallic over a classic Black Full Leather cabin that is visually heightened by intricate stitchwork in red, select regions finished in a bright-finish, and embossed Porsche Crests on the headrests of the perforation adorned front seats, this very attractive example displays an odometer reading of only 30,XXX miles, exhibits a Clean CARFAX Report, and featured an original MSRP of $134,100 with a build sheet listing the following equipment: All Excl.Opt Stitch Dev Color; Axle-Differential Lock Rear; Stitching F/R seats Dev. Color; Dashboard Stitching Dev. Color; Door Stitching in Dev. Color; Door Handle Stitching Dev.Color.; Dev.Stitching Side Center Console; Rear Side Panel Dev.Stitching; Heated Front Seats; Slate Grey Metallic; Remote CD Changer (6 Disc); Floor Mats – Interior Color; Black Full Leather; Front Air Intakes Painted; Door Entry Guards Stl Steel Illu; Rear Center Console Painted Exterior Color; Thicker Steering Wheel-Leather; Porsche Crest in Headrest.

The 997.1 Turbo’s Significance: It’s the last 911 Turbo (and Turbo convertible) to house the iconic 911 GT1-derived Mezger twin-turbocharged engine in conjunction with a manual transmission. The 997.2 Turbos feature an all-new engine, while the 991 and now 992 turbos are only seen in PDK. Though the latter cars are more dynamic, powerful, and are even more technological wonders than the 997.1 Turbo, the Turbos preceding the 997.1 Turbo are larger in size, don’t feature the sought-after favorable sizing and mechanicalness as offered by the 997.1 generation Turbo. The 997.1 turbo is very much a new-age Porsche 959 with heightened usability for everyday use and is that car that will not be replicated again.
