From its inception in 1997, the Porsche Boxster has always been an engineering marvel. Initially somewhat underrated by the 911 enthusiast. A real driver’s car, with fantastic balance and very high body stiffness, especially for a roadster. How Porsche has continued to develop this car is nothing short of impressive. The Boxster GTS we currently have in our collection is a striking example of this. A compact supercar that may now stand not below, but alongside the 911 series.
Like new gleaming bright white paint, combined with the satin black exterior trims, with the very distinctive GTS front splitter and rear diffuser, the original Porsche high-gloss black 20-inch GTS wheels with top rubber from Good Year, the leather/alcantara interior with contrasting stitching and with aluminium inserts, the 12-way adjustable sports seats and last but not least; the alcantara-clad sports steering wheel, with the centre section cast from polished aluminium and shift paddles. This is truly a highlight of the Porsche Boxster hisorie. What a picture. Furthermore, the car comes with a laundry list of original Porsche options, including Porsche Communication Management with full map navigation, audio upgrade and with bluetooth phone connection and audio streaming (optionally expandable with Apple Car Play), parking sensors all around, climate control, sport chrono plus with adjustable sports exhaust, sports suspension, sports seats with seat heating, PDLS plus lighting and so on.
Sourced from the first owner, in its first paint, with a full, on time and mileage exclusively at one Porsche dealer, demonstrable service history. With only 83.5 thousand kilometres in ten years and virtually no signs of use…. This is how we and you want a Boxster 981 GTS as a future Selected Classic. The driving experience of this Porsche is truly unique. The X73 sports suspension is tuned as only Porsche can. It is as if your hands are on the steering wheel, directly connected to the front wheels. Roadholding and steering are almost as direct as a good track car and then also combined with very usable comfort. Don’t get us wrong, of course this car is stiffly sprung, but in a way that it is also very well suited as a daily driver. This car has not yet been fitted with an OPF filter like its much more expensive 718 GTS 4.0 successor and thus still has the full soundtrack available. A winding and deserted B road in the summer evening hours, or better still an alpine pass in the same conditions. The exhaust opens and after careful warming up, the revs rise towards 6500 rpm. An engine sound follows that few Porsches or other sports cars can approach. Being able to attack every corner, with the driving and steering feel unique to this car, the ease with which this fantastic sports car rotates, knowing that the limit on public roads is virtually inaccessible. Pure emotion. Goosebumps. Don’t hesitate any longer and become the new, proud owner of one of the best-driving Porsches ever.
