This black-plate California Cabriolet, with only two owners, is a testament to the art of restoration. According to the Porsche Kardex, this 356A Super Cabriolet was originally delivered in Silver Metallic with a Blue interior. It underwent a meticulous bare metal restoration, a labor of love performed by European Collectibles over 18 months from 2022 to 2024. Every aspect of this 356 was addressed with precision and care. The deck lids, doors, bumpers, overriders, bumperettes, and a soft top were all properly fitted during the metal finishing to ensure the best possible fit. All the chrome has been triple-plated, and all the components were either restored or replaced. The undercarriage was completely stripped to steel, undercoated in Wurth undershoot, and the suspension was rebuilt and detailed to show condition.

The exterior is finished in the original color, Silver Metallic (5606 color code), and is in perfect condition, including the brightwork, rubber seals, and trim. The interior has been beautifully restored and is in pristine condition. It is finished in blue leather with gray German square weave carpets, a blue German canvas soft-top, and a boot cover. The date-coded painted silver steel wheels are complemented with chrome Super hubcaps, mounted to Vredestein 165 15 Sprint Classic tires.

Mechanically, this 356 is a joy to drive! Every component of the drive line was rebuilt, including the engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, fuel system, and a new wire harness was installed. The matching 1600cc Super engine produces 75 horsepower and performs flawlessly, providing plenty of power for an exhilarating driving experience. The manual 4-speed transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, and the four-wheel drum brakes have been completely rebuilt. The steering box has been upgraded to a ZF steering box. Complete with tool kit, jack, spare tire, and Porsche Kardex. This 356A Super Cabriolet is ready for any concour events, classic car rallies, or simply to be driven and enjoyed!
