Porsche 911 2.7 Targa – 1974 – Renes Collectables

This 911 was delivered new in 1974 in Palo Alto area in California. It was exported to the Netherlands. Since then it only had 3 owners. This is all documented. The last owner had it fro 12 years.

Because this 911 spent the first 20 years in the Sunshine State and later in Netherlands only was used by good weather it is still rustree. Never welded en all original panels. Great panel fit.

Paint:
This 911 was only once repainted in 45 years. This was done a long time ago but is still very nice. It was done in The Netherlands in 1999 and off coarse it remained in its fantastic original color Sahara Yellow. No big marks, dents or what so ever. The underside is completely original. Very straight with almost no dents or scratches.

Interior:
Mostly original. The seats are once recovered. The speakers and the radio are not original. Dash is very nice and not recovered. A very little crack on the side of the speaker frame is the only crack of the dashboard. Doorcards and pockets are still the original ones and in a very good condition. The carpet is still original. Also in a very good not worn condition. One beige floormat is missing.

Chrome:
All the chrome and also the stainless steel Targa bar are in a very good original condition.

Targatop:
Restored with the correct materials. Perfect fitting. Good rubbers.

Technical:
The engine and gearbox are rebuilt only 8.000km ago. Done by a well known Dutch specialist. Invoice comes with the car.
Engine runs smooth, no smoking and no excessive oil leaking. The 915 gearbox shift smooth and direct in every gear. No grinding or other noises. Good clutch.

The original 15 inch Fuchs wheels are near polished and still look good in their original factory finish. New tires.

Documentation:
One of the big plusses of this 911 is the documentation. Lots of invoices and other records. The original service book is missing. I found the correct one (original 1974) and added to the file.

The speedometer was replaced by an original and correct 250 Km/ph meter. The original 150 MpH meter comes with the car.
