Paint to Sample or ‘PTS’ as it’s also known is one of Porsche’s more extravagant options, many dealers only get a small allocation of cars allowed to be specified in this special option and even then, it comes at a great cost (currently PTS is a £8,453 option!). Order times for PTS cars is also greatly extended, cars can commonly take over 9 months to arrive as they shells are taken off the production line to be specially painted.

The GT4 we have here is believed to be one of only three to be painted in ‘Light Green’ a colour which a originates from number #23 a 911 RSR which in 1974 debuted at the International Race of Champions. This colour holds a particular place in our hearts as we were also one of the three individuals who also ordered a GT4 in ‘Light Green’, we now know two of the three!

This particular GT4 was delivered new to Porsche Centre Solihull on the 3rd of March 2016, throughout its life it has been maintained by Porsche main dealers and is still covered under Porsche’s extended warranty until March 2024 for total peace of mind. The specification is as you would expect excellent, the two of the standout options for us are the extended leather on the dashboard and door tops with deviating stitching in silver and the beautiful carbon fibre backed folding bucket seats which are also heated. If any you regularly follow us, you’ll know that we love a 981 GT4 here and have been fortunate to supply countless great examples this year alone. We can’t see this one staying with us for too long being such a special example, it’s certainly not one to be missed.
